There are many delightful coffees from Colombia, but every once in awhile one comes along that truly stands out. And for us this year that coffee was La Pradera. Grown by José Hernán Quintero and his family, at 1700 MASL in the Tolima region this blend of Geisha and Bourbon beans is honey processed, and brings something truly beautiful to the cup. It’s 12 hour fermentation and sun and covered drying all combine to give this coffee some truly spectacular yet approachable characteristics. It has beautiful, syrupy body, and flavor notes of Peach, Fruit Punch, Lime and Brown Sugar.
