Rene Contreras’ family has owned the Monte Verde farm for five generations. Located near the Chingo Volcano, their Red and Yellow Bourbon coffees thrive in the rich clay soil on their 36-hectare farm. Monte Verde employs 30 people year round and worked hard to improve their crop quality over the past few years, and it is really apparent. This is one of the nicest El Salvador coffees we have tasted in a while, with a medium easy drinking body, and tasting notes of Orange, Hazelnut, and Vanilla. It is an easy drinking coffee that's great to sip on for several cups.
