This is the second lot we have bought this year from Mr. Octavio Rafael Herrera Ordoñez. He farmed coffee for over 25 years before retiring and the 2nd and 3rd generation of his family continue the tradition today. They produce exceptional coffees, with great clarity and balance and are constantly improving growing and processing technique. This particular coffee is referred to as Caturra Lot 3, and is comprised only of Caturra varietal beans grown at 1650 MASL. It has a beautiful contrast to our other coffee from this farm (#42), with bright and vibrant acidity, syrupy body, and rich sweetness. We find tasting notes of Milk Chocolate, Blackberry, Cherry.
