Mr. Octavio Rafael Herrera Ordoñez farmed coffee for over 25 years before retiring and the 2nd and 3rd generation of his family continue the tradition today. They produce exceptional coffees, with great clarity and balance and are constantly improving growing and processing technique. Grown at 1650 MASL in the Huehuetenango region, this washed lot is a blend of Caturra and Bourbon varietals, which produces an exceptionally pleasant cup. A lighter, creamy body allows for sweet flavor notes of Hazelnut and Nougat with a lingering Lavender finish.
Proceeds from this coffee will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity Guatemala chapter supporting coffee producers impacted by the Volcån de Fuego eruption on June 3rd.
