The Farm
Sebastián Gómez is a young, passionate producer continuing a proud coffee legacy alongside his father, John, at Finca La Divisa in Circasia, Quindío. Together with his wife, Sebastián tends to both the farm’s daily work and its future vision, embracing varieties like Geisha and Pink Bourbon under the shade of guamo and nogal trees. After returning to Colombia in 2014 and witnessing the specialty coffee movement abroad, Sebastián shifted his focus to quality, patiently trusting that hard work would bear fruit—and it did. Now, nearly a decade later, the family is fully committed to producing differentiated coffees that reflect the evolving values of the industry.
One of the standouts at La Divisa is their Gesha, a variety celebrated worldwide for its extraordinary cup profile. Originally discovered in Ethiopia’s Gori Gesha forest, Gesha found its fame decades later in Latin America, where it began winning top honors in coffee competitions. In Colombia, the high elevation and rich soils of Quindío offer ideal conditions for this delicate variety to thrive, showcasing vibrant florals, tropical fruit, and a tea-like elegance that continues to inspire producers like Sebastián.
This particular lot is a natural process Gesha with 45 hours of fermentation, offering a stunning profile of rose petals, mango, and red plum.
