The Farm
This coffee was grown at the southern foot of Mount Kenya, in the Kirinyaga region, by 600 individual members of the Kabare Cooperative Society. The participating farms are exceptionally small, with no more than 20 trees each. Once ripened and picked, these farmers bring their contributions to the Karani Washing Station to be processed. Almost all coffee coming out of Kenya will be a washed process, which produces a cup that is bright, sweet, and juicy; they know what they’re good at and excel at it.
