Farm and Process
This delightful decaf coffee comes to us from Descafecol, a decaffeination plant in the Cauca region of Colombia. The beans are steamed before having Ethyl Acetate (an organic byproduct of sugar cane) passed through it. This removes at least 97 percent of the caffeine present and allows for a very sweet and balanced cup of decaf. The beans come from The Central Cooperativa Indígena del Cauca; the membership consists of 2,373 producers from the regions of Toribio, Caldono, Santander de Quilichao, Corinto, Morales, and Tambo. We love this coffee's sweet and balanced body, with flavor notes of Chocolate, Raspberry, and Almond.
