Barista - Full Time (Downtown)

LOCATION: Loyal Coffee Downtown (408 S. Nevada Ave 80903)

Wages: $14.81 ($16.81/hr Base Wage Cap) + Tips (Avg $6/hr) - Results in Avg $20-23/hr take home.

Semi-Annual Performance Based Raises. Accrued Paid Sick Time First Year, up to 80hrs General Use PTO after Year 1.

Full-Time = 32hr/wk minimum - 40hr/wk maximum

Minimum Weekly Availability Requirements:

• 3 days of fully open availability (2 of which must be a Fri, Sat, or Sun)
• 2 additional days with at least 8 hours of availability during operating hours.

What is the opportunity? The barista position works in our retail locations providing hospitality and products to all guests who enter. There are a wide variety of roles you may take on while working as a barista in our retail environment throughout any given shift. These different roles make up the team that delivers a hospitable experience, exceeding the expectations of our guests.

An assigned role may look like any of the following:

Support Squad: This role supports the entire team through efficient cleaning, doing dishes, and keeping products stocked.
Food Builds: Here you will prep and make food in a timely and excellent manner for all guests.
Register: Here you will greet all guests, guide them to excellent products, and orchestrate transactions in a hospitable way.
Barista: Here you will make coffee and other drinks for guests in a timely manner and according to Loyal Coffee’s standards of excellence.
Ambassador: In this role you will be delivering food and drinks, interacting with guests, and ensuring the overall guest experience is everything it’s supposed to be.

While working any of these positions you will be striving to meet our common goal which is to exceed our guests expectations. Together, each position works to guide every guest through 9 touch points of service. While participating in orchestrating the guest experience, each job requires specific side work to be accomplished along with your contribution to the overall organization, cleanliness, and organization of your cafe.

• Perform all opening & closing duties for your assigned shift.
• Engage all guests in a positive and friendly manner.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests on a consistent basis.
• Perform all duties for your assigned position as they apply to the guests journey through the 9 touch points.

• Complete all daily tasks and side work according to your assigned position.

Required Skills and Physical Requirements:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Able to show up early to open (5:30am) or stay late to close (6:30pm)
• Reliable transportation to work, even in times of reasonable inclement weather.
• Ability to work efficiently and with excellence by yourself and with a team.
• Can be on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs by yourself
• Can maintain a positive and hospitable attitude for long periods of time
• Can prioritize tasks and adapt to a fluid work environment
• Are prepared to commit to at least a year of employment with Loyal.
